Space Shuttle Dream Symbols:

After dreams with a lot of massage happening (just ended a thai massage class), I had the following dream after dawn this morning:
I am living in a spacious home with 4 other roommates so that's 5 of us total. Anthony, mi amore, is one, and there is another male and two females. One of the females has the appearance of Amy who I find to be highly artistic, expressive and a divine goddess. I only see the living space of the home and it has vaulted ceilings with a wall of windows and sliding glass doors overlooking the back lanai.
All is ground floor. The lanai expands the width of the house, and overlooks a lawn which overlooks a broad expanse of the ocean. Anthony is inside the living room, reclining on a sofa to the left of the living room, working on his laptop. The rest of us are out on the back lanai. It is late afternoon. The other male is in front of me, sitting to the left. The females are standing in front of me to the right. We are all in conversation. I’m excitedly telling my housemates that Anthony and I are starting a film production company.
The male states that he wants to do this as well, and starts brain-storming company names with the other two females. I feel a little confused about all of this, as well as thinking that this is interesting. I let them know that Anthony and I already have a name for our company. Our attention is then drawn to some activity in the sky. Coming from left to right are two objects flying in tandem. I can’t remember what they are but know that they are different. Maybe the moon behind a space object? Then, following them is a jet aircraft. All of these objects seem very close to us, not in the distance.
We are all still a bit entranced with the scene, when (wow!) a space shuttle starts making it’s way across the sky in front of us, from left to right. It’s like, right there! We all have the feeling that we are witnessing a ‘once in a lifetime’ event. The shuttle is moving slowing across the sky, and about the time it aligns itself in front of us all, it suddenly plummets down, and lands atop the ocean without a splash. It’s huge, and it’s right there.
We all rush inside the house to get our cameras, and I excitedly encourage Anthony to come out and check out the scene. I open a dresser drawer and grab a camera and head outside, but soon realize that it is missing a battery. I run back in and pick up another camera in the drawer. When I get outside, it’s dark now, and we can barely see what is going on. The space shuttle is mostly submerged, and there is a rescue boat with people offering assistance. Some are in a smaller (dingy) boat and they are rescuing the astronauts from the shuttle.
They are using spotlights. We find we can see the scene better when we take photos because the flash lights up the entire scene. I was a little bummed that Anthony had not been able to see the shuttle sitting atop the ocean, and that I had not been able to capture that image either. But we were all still enchanted with the activities going on after dark.
Initial Interpretation of Space Shuttle Dream
From a place of an open or spacious mind/psyche, there’s a quintessential presence of self (5), including my animus/significant other, male and female aspects. Five is a dynamic number, slightly more feminine (diffused attention qualities & aspects) in this group.
I seem to be looking from a position that is different from where my life is typically acted out, beyond the perceived structure (house) of my self (what is in my mind) toward the vast expanses of the unconscious or unknown.
From outside my individual self/psyche, both focused and a little greater diffused aspects of my psyche are in communication. These aspects of my self are in support of starting a film production company which is a venture Anthony and I involved with in our waking life.
Coming from the unconscious intuitive and heading into conscious, are objects, include an airplane, maybe signifying higher consciousness experiences, new-found freedom and greater awareness. Where I can also gain a better perspective or wider view.
Space Shuttle, a galactic travel vehicle coming from space, the creative, through the unconscious intuitive heading first into consciousness, poised atop the unconscious (ocean). Really large, significant aspect, maybe feminine based, aspect of the will.
Not prepared as expressed by grabbing a camera that is missing its energy source. Then the scene shifts into the unconscious with nightfall and the sinking vessel. But, other aspects of self are to the rescue with spot lights and boats to pull the contents of this large component from the unconscious.
Maybe this is alerting me to pay attention to something big that has the potential to become conscious if I have the appropriate energetic support, timing and attention.
